It’s when we celebrate the contributions women have made and recognize the specific achievements women have made over the course of history. I love that, and I think women should be celebrated, also, because of a major contribution that is often taken for granted: US, their children. After all, it is women who grew us in their bodies and gave birth to us. It is women who gave us the opportunity to impact the world as we create our own histories. And boy, do women lose sleep because of that! I know I have been the cause of some lost sleep for my own mother. Of course since I took on the “job of mom” myself, I’ve lost sleep my fair share of sleep, too.
